Forgery is Fraud & Theft.
When you create an artwork in the style of another artist, that’s homage. When you create an artwork directly copied from another artist and then try to pass the result of as original, that’s forgery.
What you’re doing there is lying to the potential purchaser and commiting fraud. You’re also selling a substandard copy of an original, diluting the value of further originals by the artist, and so stealing from the pocket of the artist whose coat-tails you’re riding on.
This is a forgery.
If you see it for sale, report it.
