Biz contributes work to Secret 7″, available April
Simon has contibuted a sleeve to Secret 7″ this year! For those that don’t know, here’s the low down on what Secret 7″ is about…
Secret 7’’ combines music and art for a good cause. What we do is take seven tracks from seven of the best-known bands and artists around. We press each of those tracks 100 times to vinyl then get creatives from around the world to interpret artwork in their own style for of one of the 7 tracks; resulting in a one-of-a-kind sleeve for every single one. We exhibit these for a week, then on Record Store Day (April 20) you can get your hands on one, or more, for £40 apiece.
You won’t know who created the sleeve, or even which song it’s for until you have parted with your cash – the secret lies within.
And it’s for a great cause too :
This year every penny profited is going to youth charity ART AGAINST KNIVES to help fund creative initiatives around London.
Making ART AGAINST KNIVES our charity of choice this year was an easy decision. On top of the money and awareness we generate this year, we will ensure that every aspect of the project provides an opportunity for the young people that they work with. From helping with design, through to installing the exhibition and making video content like the one you see here, we will provide valuable experience in a variety of creative roles.
